We’ve uncovered luxe homewares and decor hiding at a handful of fashion retailers like Ssense and Net-a-Porter, but Nordstrom offers one of the best shopping experiences. Aside from the fact that its physical and virtual shelves are well stocked with a slew of our favorite brands, navigating inventory is a breeze. You can filter your search by style (i.e., bold eclectic, calming neutrals, modern minimalism), type of room, bestsellers, and more. In fact, you can sort results not just by price, but percentages off, if you’re sticking to the sale section. That’s why even though we await the department store’s Anniversary Sale with bated breath every year, the truth is anytime is a good time to get a deal on good design.
Curious about what else you can shop without having to take a deep dive yourself—like exclusive colorways you can’t cop anywhere else? We rounded up all of our favorite brands spanning chic countertop appliances to luxurious candles to discounted coffee-table books that we bet you never knew you could find at Nordstrom.
The Conran Shop
Why we love it: Ceramics and table linens with a touch of English whimsy.
Spunky throw pillows, hand-painted coffee mugs, and Splatterware-inspired pottery—the Conran Shop may be better known across the pond (it’s headquartered in London), but we adore shopping its charming furnishings here in the U.S. at Nordstrom. Our editors look to pick up its curation of playful tabletop and decor (like the fish-stamped accent pillow from our recent trend roundup), all without having to hop on a plane.
Pom Pom at Home
Why we chose it: Lived-in, elegant linens.
There is a surprising amount of Domino-beloved bedding at Nordstrom, starting with Pom Pom at Home. For a casual yet refined bed, this luxurious brand uses natural fibers and hand-loomed textures in soft colorways, but keeps things interesting to the eye with subtle statements like piped edges and box stitching.
Georg Jensen
Why we chose it: Everyday items elevated in organic Scandinavian silhouettes.
In our opinion, it’s never too early to start thinking about gifts—and, for the entertainer or at-home bartender, anything from the Sky collection by designer Aurélien Barbry is a luxurious upgrade you can snag at Nordstrom. Otherwise, we look to sourcing tabletop staples from Georg Jensen, including its ever-popular modern flatware sets, crystal wineglasses, and a statement-making bread basket fashioned from the same polished stainless steel the silversmith has become known for.
Dusen Dusen
Why we love it: Bright stripes on terry and percale that spark joy.
There’s a wide range of Ellen Van Dusen’s eccentric patterns on robes, bedding, and towels at Nordstrom, too. Sometimes you’ll be able to find a few of her latest launches here, and the classics are often in stock, meaning you should always be able to uncover a statement-making stripe.
MoMA Design Store
Why we love it: Museum-worthy finds you can bring home.
You can browse a small selection of modern staples sourced straight from the MoMA Design Store. We spotted Areaware, Raawii, an array of coffee-table books, and its own designs—like a well-reviewed double-walled fruit bowl in pops of primary colors—currently in stock. We’re betting the assortment will continue to grow since it’s still a relatively new addition.
Hay
Why we love it: Everyday items, namely lamps, tapers, and tableware, with Scandi flair.
If you’re on the hunt for Hay, there aren’t too many places outside of its site where you can shop the brand’s Danish-inspired furniture and home accessories. But Nordstrom happens to be one of them. It boasts an impressive collection of pieces large and small from Hay, ranging from striped bath towels and twisted tapers to portable lamps and tassel-edged cotton runners.
Baina
Why we love it: Bath sheets and hand towels in stylish colors and patterns.
Outfit your entire bathroom with Baina, the female-owned brand behind one of our all-time favorite bath towels. A chic mix of bath mats, sheets, and robes—made in Portugal with organic cotton—rounds out the selection at Nordstrom, whether they sport a classic check, subtle stripe, or other striking graphic.
Fellow
Why we love it: Understated coffee-brewing accessories.
Calling all caffeine addicts: Fellow’s ceramic-coated sipping accessories, bean grinders, exclusive pour-over set, and cult-favorite gooseneck kettle in punchy or neutral finishes are all up for grabs. For instance, while you can no longer cop the new Periwinkle in the travel tumbler, there is a Barbielike pink we think shoppers will adore just as much.
Ferm Living
Why we love it: Minimalist decor and powder-coated planters.
In addition to Burke Decor and Design Within Reach, Nordstrom is a readily available source for Ferm Living’s lighting, textiles, vases, planters, and more. The Danish brand is all in on understated simplicity, and most products are fashioned from a neutral powder-coated metal or glazed stoneware.
Parachute
Why we love it: Organic bedding and bath items that always look luxe.
As we mentioned, the best things you can buy at Nordstrom by Parachute are its Turkish towels in an exclusive soft blush pink. During the Anniversary Sale, these were a swift bestseller, so much so that before the promotion became available to the public, the set of plush, absorbent, and hard-wearing towels had already sold out. Another hue you can only find at this retailer? Slate blue, adorning linen, percale, and cotton bedspreads.
Buffy
Why we love it: Cooling, eucalyptus-blended sheets, duvet covers, and pillows.
Truth be told, there’s a lot of good bedding at Nordstrom. The fact that the retailer also carries our favorite Buffy cool-to-the-touch eucalyptus sheets, plush pillows, and lightweight duvet inserts is proof.
Marimekko
Why we love it: Cheerful, graphic florals and prints on all kinds of home products.
We also turn to Nordstrom to find Finnish design house Marimekko’s signature florals just a quick shipment away. If you’re in need of a cheerful duvet cover, salad plate, or oven mitts, head here.
Diptyque
Why we love it: Splurge-worthy candles in iconic scents.
There are a handful of fancy candle brands hanging out at Nordstrom, but none we love more than Diptyque, especially after realizing the assortment includes more than just perfumed wax. Room sprays, hand wash, actually good-looking reed diffusers, and more make up three pages’ worth of products. Want to try it all this holiday season? Scoop up the splurgey Advent calendar.
Tekla
Why we love it: Striking, absorbent towels and perfectly matte duvet covers.
We’re big fans of Danish lifestyle brand Tekla, which makes all kinds of bedding and bath. Its cool stripes and saturated solids are sold in the form of towels, tablecloths, and sheets at Nordstrom.
